said: “Hertfordshire Trading Standards will continue to fight against intellectual property crime. Not only do consumers get ripped off, it also hurts legitimate local businesses many of whom are already struggling in the current economic climate.
“We will continue to work with our partners to tackle the problems at the market and would like to thank the police for their assistance on Saturday.”
PC Ashley Firby,
from the safer neighbourhoods team said they were very pleased with Saturdays result and would continue to support Trading Standards in their work to stamp out this illegal trade.
PC Firby said: “I hope that Saturday’s result sends out a stark warning to anyone thinking of trading in counterfeit goods: that you will be dealt with robustly by police and Hertfordshire Trading Standards when we catch up with you.”
